Queen's Opening Declined
Queen's Gambit Declined once ruled the chess world as the dominate opening in the majority of games. In the 1927 World Championship, Queen's Gambit Declined was played in 32 of 34 games. Chess theory has expanded greatly since that time, but QGD remains a reliable opening for white to play.
